Welcome.
Psychological problems are common, and at some point in their lives around half the UK population will experience difficulties which might benefit from professional help. It is also true that a lot of people who could benefit do not seek help because of fears and stigma around mental health problems.
Coming to see a psychologist or psychiatrist does not mean that you are weak or a failure, in fact recognising that you may need help can take courage and be the first important step to overcoming your problems. There is now abundant research evidence showing that psychological therapies are effective, and so you do not need to soldier on feeling that nothing can be done to change your situation for the better.
We offer evidence-based psychological therapy that is collaborative, respecting and nurturing to both individuals and couples, and tailored to your needs and circumstances. We also offer specialist psychiatric consultation and treatment for a wide range of problems.
